A micro slit cuvette has a narrow slit-shaped chamber that confines the light beam to a thin sample layer, reducing the required sample volume while maintaining measurement sensitivity. This 1mm slit design needs only 350µL - ideal for precious or limited samples in UV-Vis spectroscopy.
Slit cuvettes (1mm, 2mm, 3mm, 5mm path) let you measure high-absorbance samples that would saturate a standard 10mm cuvette. They also dramatically reduce sample consumption. The M10 PTFE solid cap provides airtight sealing for the narrow slit chamber, preventing evaporation during long scans and protecting oxygen-sensitive samples. It also reduces solvent evaporation that could otherwise concentrate the sample and skew readings during slow kinetics measurements.
