Long Path-Length Cuvettes

Long path quartz cuvettes (20–40 mm) for dilute or weakly absorbing samples. Two-way clear windows, Japanese imported JGS1 fused silica. Supplied with PTFE lid.

Long Path-Length Quartz Cuvettes for Dilute Samples

Longer optical paths boost absorbance for weakly absorbing samples. Scuvette's long path cuvettes span 20 mm to 100 mm path lengths with volumes from 7,000 µL to 28 mL, extending your detection limits for dilute or low-concentration analytes. Each cell is JGS1 fused silica with >83% transmittance and includes a PTFE lid.

Choose 20 mm, 30 mm, 40 mm, 50 mm or 100 mm cells, or see our cylindrical 100 mm round flow cuvette. Understanding which path length you need? Our path length guide explains the Beer-Lambert relationship in plain terms.

Long Path Cuvettes — Frequently Asked Questions

What is a long path cuvette?

A cell with extended path (for example 20–100 mm) to boost absorbance of very dilute or trace analytes. Path length guide.

When do I need long path?

For trace contaminants or ultra-dilute samples where 10 mm gives too-low signal. Beer-Lambert selection.

Does long path change the holder?

Longer cells need a holder or adapter that accepts the extended height; confirm fit. Size chart.

Are long path cuvettes quartz?

Yes — JGS1 fused silica across 190–2500 nm. UV cutoff.

Trade-off vs concentrating the sample?

Long path avoids prep; use it when you cannot concentrate. Buying guide.
