Both manufacturers use synthetic fused silica (not natural quartz). Our standard cells are made from Japanese-imported JGS1, transmitting 190–2500 nm — equivalent to the Suprasil® (Heraeus) grades for UV-Vis and fluorescence measurements. Paired transmission test reports are included with every shipment.

Is scuvette quartz the same grade as Hellma Suprasil?

Both are synthetic fused silica. Our standard line uses Japanese-imported JGS1, which covers 190–2500 nm — equivalent transmission range to Suprasil for routine UV-Vis and fluorescence work. We publish paired transmission test data on request.

Why is scuvette so much cheaper?

We are the factory. There is no distributor chain — no Hellma-to-VWR-to-lab markup. Same raw quartz class, direct pricing.

Will a scuvette cell fit my instrument?

Standard cells use the 12.5 × 12.5 × 45 mm outline and 15 mm (or 8.5 mm) centre height that match Hellma-dimensioned holders. Send us your instrument model or part number and we will confirm fit before you order.

Do you offer a Hellma-style high-temperature or solvent-resistant cell?

Yes — we can supply sintered and one-piece moulded cells for solvents, acids and temperatures above 100 °C. Ask for the sintered option on custom orders.

What about calibration standards?

We focus on cuvettes and cells; Hellma also sells certified reference standards, which are a separate product line. For cells alone, scuvette covers the full Hellma geometry range.
