Yes. The threaded PTFE solid cap seals against the quartz body with a precision thread, keeping the 3.5 mL sample airtight for volatile solvents and oxygen- or moisture-sensitive assays. The M10 (or M12 on the EU version) thread is fully reusable - tighten hand-tight only to protect the thread.
Two-way cells suit standard UV-Vis absorbance measurements. Four-way and five-way cells are for fluorescence, multi-angle readings or reference-channel setups where light must enter from several sides without rotating the cell.
