A flow cuvette (also called a flow cell) has open tube ends that allow continuous sample flow through the measurement chamber, rather than static sample loading. This 10mm flow cuvette is designed for UV-Vis spectrophotometry, HPLC detection, FIA (flow injection analysis), and stopped-flow kinetics.
The two open ends have 10mm outer diameter tube ports suitable for standard 10mm OD tubing connections. For smaller tubing (1/16", 1/8") you can use PTFE ferrules or our flow cuvette adapters. The chamber dimensions are 10x10x38mm providing 10mm optical path length.
Prime the flow path with degassed solvent before connecting, fill slowly from the bottom, and avoid sharp flow direction changes. Air bubbles cause spurious absorbance spikes. For air-sensitive applications, request our sealed PTFE version which supports inert gas purging.
