The blackened side walls absorb stray light instead of letting it pass through the cell body, which suppresses light piping and scattered-light interference. This makes the 45µL cuvette well suited to low-volume fluorescence measurements where a clean signal-to-noise ratio matters. Only neutral (non-fluorescent) samples should be used.

This cuvette is rated for a sample volume of 45µL at 15mm center height, with a 3mm path length and 3×5mm clear windows. Yes. The clear windows are JGS1 fused silica with transmittance above 80% from 200 nm to 2500 nm, so the cell can be used for UV-Vis absorbance as well as fluorescence. Keep in mind the black walls only control stray light – use neutral samples and stay below the maximum operating temperature of 100°C.

Rinse immediately with deionized water, flush with 1% laboratory detergent solution, then rinse with isopropanol.
