Demountable Quartz Cuvette — Optically Bonded

Demountable quartz cuvette with optically bonded (optical-contact) construction, 0.1–2 mm optical path, 30–600 µL. JGS1 fused silica body and cover glass, optional black anodized aluminum holder. Designed for powder fluorescence and solid-sample measurements on Edinburgh / Hitachi fluorescence spectrophotometers. Acid, alkali, organic and high-temp compatible.

What to Check

Optically bonded construction — high chemical and thermal resistance

The optical-contact bond is formed by molecular adhesion between two ultra-flat JGS1 fused silica surfaces, with no organic adhesive. It withstands strong acids, strong alkalis, organic solvents and temperatures up to 1200 °C (short term). Suitable for powder / solid fluorescence and demanding sample environments.

Solid / powder fluorescence, not liquid samples

The open demountable design is intended for powder fluorescence measurements. The sample is placed between the quartz base and the cover glass. It is not sealed and therefore not suitable for liquid measurements.

Holder keeps the cell aligned in the instrument

The optional aluminum holder lets the cell stand vertically in sample compartments designed for standard 12.5 × 12.5 mm cuvettes. If your instrument accepts flat cells directly, the holder is optional.

Spare cover glasses and holders are available

Quartz cover glasses and aluminum holders can be ordered separately as replacement or spare parts.
