Cómo elegir a Laboratorio Crisol

Cinco decisions — Temperatura, Material, Capacidad, Forma and Tapa — determine whether a Crisol does Su job. Work a través de Los in Pedido and Usted will land on the right Crisol every time.

A Crisol is a simple vessel, but the wrong choice causes real problems: a cracked Crisol De Térmico Golpe, a contaminated melt De Químico Ataque, or a Muestra Ese overflows and damages Su furnace. Este Guía walks a través de the Selección logic Nuestro engineers use.

1. Start Con Su Maximum Temperatura

Temperatura is the first Filtrar because it rules out materials outright. Match Su peak Proceso Temperatura (Con a safety margin) to a Crisol Material:

Peak TemperaturaRecomendado Material
Up to 1600°CAlúmina (Al₂O₃) — the economical default
Up to 2200°CMagnesia (MgO) — for Alcalino & Reactivo melts
Up to 2300°CCircona (ZrO₂) — for Precioso metals & ultra-high temps

2. Match the Material to Su Muestra

Temperatura is not the whole story — Químico Compatibilidad often overrides it. Ask what Su Muestra or melt will do to the Crisol:

  • Neutral, Oxidante or acidic → Alúmina is stable and cheapest.
  • Strongly Alcalino or fluoride-containing → use Magnesia; Alúmina will react.
  • Molten Precioso metals (Pt, Au, Pd, Ag) → use Circona, Qué resists Mojado by metal melts.
Pro tip: Cuando in doubt, tell us Su exact melt chemistry — a quick Comprobar against known incompatibilities can save a ruined batch and a damaged furnace.

3. Pick the Right Capacidad & Tamaño

Elegir a Crisol whose Capacidad is roughly twice the Volumen of Su Muestra — the extra headroom allows for Agitación, foaming, Térmico expansion and easy loading Sin risk of overflow. Nuestro catalogues Lista approximate Capacidad next to every Dimensión:

  • Small / micro (0.4–10 mL) — Térmico analysis, small-Muestra Sinterización.
  • Medium (10–100 mL) — routine Incineración, Calcinación and small melts.
  • Grande (100 mL–7 L) — production Fusión and Granel Cocción.

All Tres materials are Disponible in a wide Rango of Tamaños — see the full Tablas on Cada Producto Página: Alúmina, Magnesia, Circona.

4. Forma & Tapa Options

  • Cilíndrico — the Estándar, most versatile Forma.
  • Arc-Con forma / boat — for horizontal-tube furnaces and coatings work.
  • Flanged — a rim Ese supports the Crisol in a Soporte or furnace opening.
  • Tapa / no Tapa — a Tapa limits Contaminación, Oxidación and Calor loss; use one for metal Fusión and Calcinación. Roscado-Tapa options are Disponible on Seleccionado Tamaños.

5. Atmosphere & Calentamiento Rate

Su furnace atmosphere changes the Efectivo Temperatura limit and the life of the Crisol:

  • Oxidante (air) — Alúmina and Magnesia are stable; Circona’s practical limit is Inferior in Oxidante Servicio.
  • Inert / Reduciendo — Donde Circona reaches Su full 2300°C Clasificación.
  • Always ramp slowly — rapid Calentamiento Grietas ceramics, especially Magnesia and Circona.

6. Quick Decision Checklist

  1. Peak Temperatura below 1600°C? → Alúmina.
  2. Alcalino / fluoride melt? → Magnesia.
  3. Precioso metals or 2000°C+? → Circona.
  4. Muestra Volumen × 2 = Crisol Capacidad.
  5. Tapa needed for Oxidación-Sensible work.
  6. Ramp slowly; confirm atmosphere Con Nuestro team.
