Scuvette's 10mm screw cap quartz cuvette family comes in two window configurations — 2-way (two opposite clear sides) and 4-way (four clear sides) — and three build grades: Standard, High Transmittance and High Precision. All share a 10 mm optical path, a 12.5 × 12.5 mm footprint, a 3.5 mL chamber, an internal M10 PTFE thread cap, and Japanese imported JGS1 fused silica transmitting 200–2500 nm. Use the table below to pick the right sealed cuvette for UV-Vis absorbance or fluorescence work.
| Variant | Windows | Grade / Molding | Max Temp | Transmittance | Price (box of 2) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2-Way Standard SKU qc-screw-cap-10mm-2w-it |
Two opposite clear sides (UV-Vis absorbance) | Standard — fused one-piece JGS1 molding | < 600°C | > 83% (200–2500 nm) | $115.00 |
| 2-Way High Transmittance SKU qc-screw-cap-10mm-2w-it-ht |
Two opposite clear sides (UV-Vis absorbance) | High Transmittance — fused one-piece JGS1 molding | < 600°C | > 83% (200–2500 nm) | $115.00 |
| 2-Way High Precision SKU qc-screw-cap-10mm-2w-it-hp |
Two opposite clear sides (UV-Vis absorbance) | High Precision — optical-contact one-piece molding (premium, comparable to German original imports) | ≤ 1200°C | > 83% (200–2500 nm) | $180.00 |
| 4-Way Standard SKU qc-screw-cap-10mm-4w-it |
Four clear sides (fluorescence / right-angle) | Standard — fused one-piece JGS1 molding | < 600°C | > 83% (200–2500 nm) | $225.00 |
| 4-Way High Transmittance SKU qc-screw-cap-10mm-4w-it-ht |
Four clear sides (fluorescence / right-angle) | High Transmittance — fused one-piece JGS1 molding | < 600°C | > 83% (200–2500 nm) | $225.00 |
| 4-Way High Precision SKU qc-screw-cap-10mm-4w-it-hp |
Four clear sides (fluorescence / right-angle) | High Precision — optical-contact one-piece molding (premium, comparable to German original imports) | ≤ 1200°C | > 83% (200–2500 nm) | $240.00 |
A 2-way (two-window) cell has two opposite clear sides and is used for standard UV-Vis absorbance, where light passes straight through. A 4-way (four-window) cell has four clear sides and is used for fluorescence, right-angle and multi-angle measurements where light must enter or exit from several sides without rotating the cell. All six variants share the same 10 mm path length and 3.5 mL chamber.
Standard and High Transmittance grades use a fused one-piece JGS1 molding process rated to a maximum operating temperature below 600°C. The High Precision grade uses an optical-contact one-piece molding process (premium, positioned as comparable to German original imports) with zero interference in sample testing and is rated to a maximum operating temperature of 1200°C. All grades use Japanese imported JGS1 fused silica with greater than 83% transmittance across 200–2500 nm.
Yes. Every variant uses a standard 10 mm optical path, a 12.5 × 12.5 mm cuvette footprint and Japanese JGS1 fused silica transmitting 200–2500 nm, so they fit standard UV-Vis and fluorescence spectrophotometer holders. The 4-way versions are the correct choice for fluorescence instruments.
Each cuvette has an internal M10 PTFE thread and ships as 2 pieces per box with PTFE solid caps. The threaded seal keeps the 3.5 mL sample airtight for volatile solvents and oxygen- or moisture-sensitive assays, and the cap is fully reusable — tighten hand-tight only to protect the thread.
